America's Early National Period
Benjamin Fanklin
The role of teachers
During the American Early National Period, teachers continued to be positive models of good citizenship for their students. They were expected to be involved, making the community a better place through both church participation and involvement in community issues. Teachers taught that citizenship involved obeying laws and rules and respecting authority.
